Little adventures

I have been on two little adventures. The first was to the acupuncturist. The second was to the closing sell of circuit city. Which sounds like more fun?

I have been having sciatic pain lately. I had it with both of my other pregnancies. It's just now I really can't sit down and put my feet up. Plus I really want to be walking more and the pain is discouraging me to go do so. I asked around the preschool to see if any one knew of a good chiropractor for pregnancy and no one did. But, one of the moms who had the same problem swore by acupuncture. Some more back ground is that my aunt Marcia is very pro acupuncture and had been telling me all these great things about her experiences. So I thought "what the heck, lets try it." I went yesterday. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I didn't feel the needles or see them or anything. I just got to lay on my side for awhile under a heat lamp with some oils rubbed on me. When I got up, no pain. As I continued moving around the pain was gone from its original location. But I now have it in another spot. The Dr. did tell me that it would take a 1-3 treatments. So I will be going back to try again. I secretly was hoping to fall into the 1 treatment category. But that would be too easy.

My other adventure is my camera. I have a camera I love. But I often mistreat it by throwing it into my purse. So it is having a problem with the shutter opening and closing. The kids went on a field trip and I wasn't able to get it to work so, no pictures. Which is a bummer and the reason my flickr hasn't been updated much. So I have been shopping around and looking at different camera options. I have priced a couple at Costco, etc. Last night we were watching TV and I saw a commercial for the Circuit City going out of business sell every thing is 30% off. So "what the heck, lets go check it out." I arrived 20 minutes before it was even open and had to cruise the health food store in the same shopping center. Then as we are going in Hannah had to go potty. So I asked the girl "where is your bathroom?" Oh it's out of order. Should have been a red flag! I shuffle the kids next door to the Longs to pee then shuffle back. I go back and check out the cameras and in between keeping the kids from touching everything and a lecture on megapixles from two old guys, I find one I like and am considering calling Jerry to see what he thinks. So I ask the guy working there how many he has, if I could check out the box, and a couple other questions. The only one they had was the one on display. Let me tell you, even if the price was great, I wouldn't buy the display from the store without a working bathroom. I checked out a few other things around before leaving. Same story basically only floor models were left. But would I really want a new camera from a store I could never return it too? It's the old saying, you get what you pay for.
