Hannah is going to be my sickee. You know the kid in the family who is always sick. Like I was.
Thursday/Friday night she had a fever. The fever lasted into the morning and she was super lethargic and cranky so I made an appointment with the Dr. We went at 2:15 with a fever still. She was 103.something in the ear so they did an armpit and it was 102.something. Both higher temps than I like her to have. So the nurse put a bag on her to collect urine and we waited to see the dr. He came in and checked her out. Nothing was wrong with ears, nose & throat but he didn't like the how fast she was breathing. So we had to go get an X-ray of her lungs and still wait for her to pee. The x-ray was ok, a little hazy so we waited for the pee to find out if it was a bladder infection. Well wouldn't you know miss Hannah would not pee. We waited until about 5:30 for her to pee. I nursed her 3 times and she fell asleep twice all while waiting for her to pee. The x-ray was some filler time as well. So the dr was going to put her on antibiotics just in case. But I asked for one that would be gentler to her stomach. Because the last 5 times we have had to take them she throws up, gets diarrhea and goes off food. The Dr then decided to treat the fever and if anything changes he was on call over the weekend.
Wouldn't you know we get home and Hannah's fever breaks and her mood improves and she is fine.
I had a very long stressful day dealing with all of it. Luckily enough it was still a weekday and this all didn't happen over the weekend. Nothing makes you more worried and stressed out than when your babies are sick, Nothing.
