Hopefully you all just switched on your Monster Truck announcer voices on.

I always wondered what James would end up obsessing on. It turns out it's Monster Trucks. He has asked for a monster truck birthday cake. So I did some web searching on how to make one. I found pictures and instructions on how to. But he saw what I was looking at and asks everyday for his monster truck birthday cake. I will need to find a way to work on it and have it a surprise. I am actually looking forward to making it.

Then there is Halloween. He wants to be a monster truck. Good thing I saved up boxes from the move. I am still wrapping my brain around the how to for that project.

Jerry and I have even gone as far as saying, out loud, to ourselves "well we had better keep watch for monster truck rally tickets". What?

I Tivo a monster truck cartoon on TLC for him to watch, he loves it.

It is funny how when you do find the object of your child's desire how you actively search for things to make them love it more. I wonder sometimes if we didn't further the obsession if it would go away? I'm guessing all parents with children wonder that one. It's harmless enough now and it sparks creativity in his pretend games. This is going to be fun to watch play out. HA!
